Evangeline Ghastly

I've talked about alternative toys before and thought I mentioned Evangeline Ghastly but after looking back, I never did! Shame on me. She is a gorgeous 19" resin doll with a $425-$500 price tag and if you want to change outfits, be prepared to add another $125 PER OUTFIT. You can buy wigs, shoes, other various clothing items and even additional eyes to change her eye color. Apparently they are coming out with a slightly smaller vinyl version of her next month for around $160...major price drop but still a little costly. She is such a beautiful doll though. Can't wait to see what the vinyl version will look like!

The top picture was taken from WizardUniverse and the below was taken from Acid PopTart's MySpace pictures. Acid PopTart is a contributor for an awesome magazine that I get called Gothic Beauty. They featured Evangeline Ghastly in their last issue.

Oh, I LOVE her. So cool! Way too much $$ though. :-) I always wanted to name my daughter, had I had one, Evangeline. I think I had that name in a past life, always loved it.

Yes, she's very beautiful but for that cost, yikes! Mike has paid crazy amounts for some of his Japanese figures (and other ones too). I don't think I've ever paid TOO TOO much for one doll/toy...with the exception of my newest Camille one which was well-worth the 59.99, to me. I guess it depends on what you think is worth it or not. They have some nice Madame Alexandre dolls but again for me, pricey. Maybe the vinyl will be cool!

GB is my fave mag. i've had a subscription since it first came out.

how'd you like the last cover with the dude on it? that was out of the ordinary.

Diane - From what I understand, that was the first time they had a guy on the cover. They could have picked someone more goth! I didn't like that cover. The next cover has a chick with some really pointy nails...kinda' vampish.
