Eve's Photo Game

My friend, Eve, has a photo game called In "Other" Words. Today we had to post a picture of something that we found interesting/amusing/unique. She prefers you post a picture that you took and then explain it or say what it means to you.

This game was pretty easy for me because I was going to post the below pic anyway. : ) A couple days ago, I talked about getting some dishes from my grandparent's house. All of the items below are considered antiques and my grandma said that a few of the items may be worth a chunk of change. I don't plan on cashing them in but I do plan on doing some research to find out where they came from. The item on the far right is the little teapot that Grandma used to serve my cousin and I hot chocolate when we were kids. Cute, huh?

If you choose to participate, please visit Eve's blog here and add your info to Mr. Linky.

i love that sort of stuff. eps if it holds a nice memory like the teapot.

i tried to read the impression on the glass piece (2nd form the left) but can't seem to make it out.

Diane - The second glass piece says Crosley Shelvador. I did a bunch of research already tonight and have some cool info to share. I think I'll do a post now with what I found out so far.

Very cute teapot. I have a small side table that used to sit in my parent's bedroom, which they eventually let me use in my own room. Even thought it's now beat up and scratched, I still have it. I highly doubt it's an antique, but even if it was worth something, i don't think I could part with it. Just sentimental.

Riverwolf - That's nice that you have something like that. Makes a house feel like a home.

I'm sooooo sorry I'm only getting to this now-so many things were going on, that sometimes it's easy to miss a post, sadly!

This was a great photo/pic story. I love your new goodies/antiques. That was very nice of her to give 'em to you. I don't really have any antiques from my grandparents (they are no longer with us). I used to find good stuff at thrift stores that was "old" looking...loved 'em! Still got some around the house.

I just put up the NEW In "Other" Words. Hope you'll play along & have a good one!
