Sunday Stealing: The Mud Meme

This meme brought to you by:

1. What are your current obsessions?

Reading, tea, and the occult.

2. Which item from your wardrobe do you wear most often?

Since I've become unemployed, it's a toss up between jeans and pajamas. : )

3. What's for dinner?

Tonight it was a sandwich and Girl Scout cookies with milk.

4. Last thing you bought?

Shampoo and conditioner.

5. What are you listening to?

Assemblage 23

6. If you were a god/goddess who would you be?

Nyx, of course.

7. Favorite holiday spots?

Anywhere by the water.

8. Reading right now?

Check out the right side of my blog. It'll tell you what I'm currently consuming aka reading/watching.

9. 4 words to describe yourself.

Independent, creative, trustworthy, funny.

10. Guilty pleasure?

Naughty food...which basically means anything creamy, cheesy or buttery.

11. Who or what makes you laugh until you’re weak?

Nobody/nothing is that funny. Seriously, it takes a lot to really get me laughing. I giggle a lot though.

12. Planning to travel to next?

Down south, hopefully!

13. Best thing you ate or drank lately?

Ooh, I'd have to say my caramel frap, no whip, from Starbucks the other day. I just happened to take a picture of it because they made a little face with the caramel syrup. I felt special.

14. When did you last get tipsy?

Last fall on the best night I've had in a long time. Apparently I like wine. And get your mind out of the gutter.

15. Care to share some wisdom?

Oh I've got lots to share but I particularly like this:

I ask only that you keep your minds open and not fear or condemn that which you don't know or fully understand. Life's too short to be bottled up in our own visions of reality without looking up occasionally to see what we're missing.

16. Nicest thing anyone’s ever said to you?

I can't think of anything that really stands out. The nicest thing anyone has ever done for me though was when I left Ohio, my team at work went and got all gothed up and had their picture taken as a surprise for me. They presented me with the framed picture at my going away dinner. This was a big deal because nobody on my team was into goth and they ranged in ages from twenties to sixties. Pretty incredible gift.

I checked out your answers from last week, too, and had to tell you that I have a Persian cat that I call the Spawn of Satan when he gets in these goofy moods that send him running amok all through the house, LOL! Best wishes on the job search.

Amen...life is too short. Too many people have closed minds.

When I stopped working recently and said I was going to cut down on some things, Starbucks wasn't one of them :-). But I must say I don't take pictures of & cherish them as you do. A sandwich & Girl Scout cookies sounds comforting to me for some reason, yet I was sort of an inept Girl Scout, too much going on at home, but I did learn to make paper & candles.
Hope your job hunt goes well. ~Mary

Great answers. Never heard of Nyx before, so thanks for the enlightenment. Your goth-dressing co-workers sound great (as does whoever served you the smiley caramel frap).

I would definitely like your 'naughty' foods too then...anything with cheese. Yummmmm.

My Stolen Meme is posted. Come join me? Have a great day.

Thanks for sharing. I love reading about people. The story about the photo from your old workmates was touching. What a thoughtful gift. The ones from the heart are always the best.

Cheers!

If I got a caramel frap that had a smiley face, it would certainly make my day. And the guilty pleasures are the same for me...curse you sweet, delicious food! Ah!
